Next Season

The Miami Heat have a promising next season with young players like Dragic and Whiteside and veterans like Wade and Bosh leading the team. The Heat have many young players with great potential such as Shabazz Napier and Tyler Johnson who have been producing off the bench and are destined to become great gaurds in the future. James Ennis has also shown great upside with amazing athleticism and has been a spark off the bench. The Heat still have many of their veterans such as Udonis Haslem and Henry Walker to lead the team and help the younger players develop. Under the coaching of Erik Spoelstra, the Heat will be able to run their offense with great efficiency. With all these assets, the Heat are projected to have a great season next year and maybe even make a run for the championship.

Hassan Whiteside

Hassan Whiteside has been one of the upsides of the dissapointing season for the Miami Heat. After spending some time playing basketball overseas, Whiteside emerged as a defensive anchor and also produced on the offensive side for the Heat. He was also a frontrunner for the Most Improved Player reward and was third in voting. Whiteside averaged a double double with points and rebounds. He has proven to be a valuable asset for the Heat and made up for the loss of Chris Bosh and Josh McRoberts and finally provided the heat with a much needed big man.

Goran Dragic

During last season, the Miami Heat traded away Norris Cole, draft picks, and other assets to acquire Goran Dragic. Dragic proved to be a valuable pick up and kept the team in playoff contention for the latter half of the season. Dragic averaged almost 17 points and 5 assists per game. He executed the offense and emerged as a leader in a depleted roster. Dragic is now a very important part of the team and the Heat hope to keep him for seasons to come.

2014-2015 Season

The 2014-2015 Season proved to be a dissapointing and underwhelming season for the Miami Heat. After the loss of Lebron and no major free agent acquisitions, no one predicted the Heat to make noise this season. Despite having a depleted roster due to injuries this season, the Heat were still in playoff contention for the end of the season until their loss to Toronto. The Heat finished 37-45 and 10th place in the Eastern Conference. The loss of Chris Bosh, Josh McRoberts, and Shabazz Napier really hurt the Heat's rotation and playoff chances. On the upside, not making the playoffs means more rest for the roster and a better squad for next year.
